It is a reference model, developed by SRM - Studi e Ricerche per il Mezzogiorno (Studies and Research for Southern Italy), a key to understanding the services that a modern port of call must be able to provide in order to promote the growth of a territory through the added value of maritime and logistics activities.

• Is the operational and steering heart of the Ionian Interregional Special Economic Zone and the Customs Free Zone and plays a pivotal role in relaunching the local economy by promoting industrial and logistical development policies in the area.
