Elegant, iconic, exclusive: Evrima kissed by the Taranto sun!
PORT OF TARANTO, 12 MAY 2024 - A radiant maiden call for #Evrima, the marvellous extra-luxury yacht of the @The Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection fleet, which entered the Port of Taranto this morning for the first time, reflecting in all its beauty in the crystal-clear waters of the Ionian Sea. A 190-metre-long gem of the seas with 149 luxurious suites, Evrima is the jewel in the crown of the luxury hotel group The Ritz Carlton's company known for its exclusive lifestyle design on board.
Around 260 passengers of Evrima make their way to Taranto as a stopover on a dream yacht experience, under the banner of 'discovery' that the superyacht's Greek name is intended to evoke. The Ionian port of call - the first of two in Apulia that also includes Gallipoli as the yacht's boutique port of call - is the gateway to privileged itineraries for getting to know the city and the beauty and flavours of our land.
From Civitavecchia to Valletta, Evrima's Mediterranean itinerary blends prestige and intimacy, in a voyage among @UNESCO sites and treasures of the most authentic and exclusive artistic and cultural heritage of the Mare Nostrum which, as a casket, encloses authentic locations rich in millenary history.
“Today's docking confirms the interest generated by Taranto as a destination also for extra-luxury ships,– says AdSP President Sergio Prete, – along with the work that the Port Authority has carried out in recent years promoting the Port as a gateway to the beauty of the area. We are working alongside the city to help accommodate a fast-growing tourist segment that can help Taranto develop its full potential".
“Taranto ancora Taranto is still at the centre of international attention: In just a few days, after EGO Festival, the globally important food and wine event that ends today in the City, with the landing of the yacht Evrima cruise passengers - mainly of US origin - will have the opportunity to visit and admire the cultural and historical beauties of our territory,” stated Deputy Mayor Gianni Azzaro, adding “ thanks to the joint work of the institutions and the local administration, Taranto is proving to be able to seize the opportunities for tourism development it deserves in various fields, boosted by the territory's many excellences”.
Also expressing satisfaction was Raffaella Del Prete, General Manager of Taranto Cruise Port, the local terminal operator of the Global Ports Holding group: "We have worked and invested a lot in the Port of Taranto because we believe that the City has the potential to affirm itself in the cruise market, even in niche segments such as the one to which the mega yacht we are hosting today belongs. We are prepared to welcome tourists and crew according to the high standards of customer care that GPH maintains in all its ports worldwide. We firmly believe in this destination and are working alongside the local institutions to provide a unique experience for cruise passengers calling at Taranto".
"Evrima is the first yacht of the prestigious Ritz-Carlton Yacht Collection, one that we represent as recommending maritime agents. Her maiden call today testifies to the maturity of the city and port of Taranto as a luxury cruise destination, to which our agency dedicates continuous promotion and participation,”, says Giovanni Danese, of DANAV Agency.” Set sail aboard Taranto, Lady Evrima!
