The Sea Resource Partnership Body (SRPB) is the bottom-up and top-down consultative body of the economic and social partnership established within each Port System Authority (art. 11 bis of Law no. 84 of 28 January 1994, as amended). The advisory functions of the SRPB are carried out, in particular, in relation to:
- the adoption of the port system master plan;
- the adoption of the three-year operational plan;
- the draft and final budget;
- the determination of the levels of services rendered within the port system;
- the composition of the instruments referred to in art. 9, paragraph 5, lett. I), of Law 84/94.
In matters falling within the competence of the SRPB, the Management Committee of the Port System Authority must take into account the opinions expressed by the SRPB and must give reasons for any deviation in its deliberations.
The Body is composed of the President of the Port System Authority, the Harbour Master, a representative of the shipping companies, of the industrialists, of the operators mentioned in articles 16 and 18, of the forwarding agents, of the intermodal logistic operators operating in the port, of the railway operators operating in the port, of the shipping agents, of the road hauliers operating in the logistic-port area, of the tourism or trade operators operating in the port, of the company or agency mentioned in article 17 of Law No. 84/1994 and three representatives of the workers of the companies operating in the port.
