TARANTO PORT DAYS 2022 - The 2nd edition of the 'ROCK PORT' contest kicks off!
PORT OF TARANTO, 24 JUNE 2022 - The Port Network Authority of the Ionian Sea - Port of Taranto, in partnership with Fondazione Taranto 25, is promoting the 'Taranto Port Days 2022', taking place from 7 to 9 October 2022. For three days, the port city of Taranto will stage a special event celebrating the sea as a natural resource, the territory’s sustainable development, as well as the opening of the Port of Taranto to the public.
This has been organised in line with the general objectives of the Italian Port Days initiative (www.italianportdays.it) and the aims underlying AdSPMI’s current Three-Year Operational Plan (TOP) 2020-2022 - a programmatic document outlining a series of actions to be implemented within the "Port and Territory" strategic objective during the three-year period 2020-2022 to further develop the port-city of Taranto binomial.
"ROCK PORT" CONTEST
Originated from the last Taranto Port Days event, 'ROCK PORT' is held for its second edition this year. The music contest has been organised thanks to the artistic coordination of Associazione AFO 6 and will select the emerging bands who will be taking the stage at TARANTO PORT DAYS 2022. ROCK PORT actually involves a contest that will culminate in the selection of eight artists/groups by a technical jury of music professionals. These artists/groups will be asked to perform at the SPAZIOPORTO venue in Taranto. At the end of the selection process the finalists taking the stage at the TARANTO PORT DAYS 2022 on 7 October 2022 will be announced. The winners will also be involved, free of charge, as the headline act at the SPAZIOPORTO venue in Taranto.
Artists/bands who complete an application form with all the required attachments no later than 18/09/2022 will have access to the selection.
