By Committee Resolution No. 10/2017 of 19/06/2017, the Port Work Administration and Vocational Training Agency, provided for in Art. 4 of Decree-Law No.243 of 29/12/2016, then converted, with amendments, by Law No. 18 of 27/02/2017 into which the "redundant workers of companies operating pursuant to Article 18 of Law No. 84 of 28 January 1994, authorised to handle containers who, as of 27 July 2016, were benefiting from income support schemes in the forms of social shock absorbers" were included.
The Agency, called Taranto Port Workers Agency S.r.l., supports the professional placement of workers enrolled in its registers also through their professional training in relation to economic initiatives and industrial developments in the area of competence of the Port System Authority of the Ionian Sea.
